This dorm/daycare center is for mothers who are dealing with life destructive behaviors such as; eating disorders, co-dependency, anger issues, self-loathing, self harm, low self-esteem as well as addictions to substances. Our goal is to provide a safe, loving Christian environment in which mothers build their self-esteem, learn who they are in Christ, and plan for their future as a mature Christian woman serving the Lord.

Our goal is to keep children with their mothers and out of the foster care system. Mothers living in the S.M.I.L.E. dorm will have the opportunity to go through Christ centered discipleship classes , learn life skills, take certified parenting classes. They are able to gain employment while their children are safely cared for in our daycare center, knowing that they will be together at the end of the day.

Experience has shown that some of the ladies we talk to choose not to enter the ministry or anywhere else due to a lack of childcare resources; therefore, the mother will try to care for her children while still acting out their life destructive behaviors , or the children end up in DFCS care.

We are excited and wish to convey our heartfelt thanks to FREE CHAPEL who gave $153,000. SISTERS OF PROVIDENCE who gave $30,000 and the volunteers who gave their time and talents to make it all happen.
